Report by human rights body highlights atrocities faced by Christians in DRC

Pray for Christian women and girls in eastern DRC, vulnerable to abduction, rape, and forced marriage by armed groups. Seek their safety and healing from trauma and shame.
Ask for comfort for thousands of displaced Christians, whose villages and churches have been destroyed by militias. Pray for resources and refuge for those in need.
Seek restoration for churches that have been burnt, looted or vandalised. Pray for safe spaces where believers can worship and serve.
Pray for Muslims and other minorities facing unequal treatment. Ask for harmony and fairness, that Christians may build bridges while sharing the Gospel.
Pray for youth struggling with limited education and job access due to violence. Ask the Church to guide them with faith and purpose to resist militia influence.

Countless women in Nigeria have suffered abduction and/or sexual violence. Apart from the trauma this causes, there is often also shame to deal with. Pray fervently for God’s intervention. Pray for more workers to bring help and provision for all.
About 18.5 million children, the majority girls, have no access to education in Nigeria (UN, 2022), mostly because of the jihadist attacks on schools. Pray for more physical and emotional care to children, that they will receive the education they need.
In the northeast and parts of the Middle Belt Christians face brital attacks resulting in injury and destruction of property. Survivors suffer grief and trauma. The need for care outweighs resources of churches. Pray for more workers.
Thank the Lord for the Church’s courage amid danger. Pray for grace to remain courageous in growing danger. Pray that believers will receive sufficient spiritual care.
Pray that God will continue to build His Church and that she will grow despite severe persecution. Pray that Christians will remain bold and obedient in sharing the Gospel. Pray for continued grace, protection, and faithfulness to pastors. Pray that they may have all they need as they work, often amid great opposition

Pray for the parents and families of children who have been forcibly recruited; that Holy Spirit will comfort them.
Pray for physical, emotional and spiritual provision and safety of those in captivity.
Pray for the government to have wisdom and willpower to bring justice to the perpetrators.
Pray for the Christians in Tigray for wisdom and safety in the situation.
