This interconnectedness has fostered a sense of global citizenship, with young people increasingly concerned about global issues such as climate change, poverty, and human rights. -
Entrepreneurial and Innovative:
Faced with a rapidly changing job market, many young people today are turning to entrepreneurship and innovation as a way to create their own opportunities. They are leveraging technology to start businesses, develop new products, and solve complex problems. This entrepreneurial spirit is driving economic growth and creating new industries.
While there are some who worry about the potential for youths to be a destabilizing factor, the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, peace and Security frames the worry in more optimistic tones: a large youth population presents a unique demographic dividend that can contribute to lasting peace and economic prosperity if inclusive policies are in place (S/RES/2250, 2015).
