Latest Prayer Opportunities

  • Ask that God eases the pain of those infected and gives them full restoration of health.
  • Pray for a ceasefire to occur so that there is peace and a safe environment for health staff to do their work.
  • Ask God to protect the vulnerable and stop the spread of this violent disease.
  • Pray for comfort to families and friends dealing with loss.
  • Pray for the endurance, wisdom, and physical protection of healthcare workers and organisations responding to the crisis.

Waswa’s requests:

  • Please continue praying for me especially in this children’s ministry … that God gives me more life so that I can expand the project to care for more children.
  • Pray for one of my brothers. He is not settled and wandering around. Pray that he will come to know and accept the good news of Jesus Christ and work in his Kingdom.
  • Pray for my and my family’s safety. Up to now, Muslim [radicals] have tried to make life difficult for me and trap me.
  • Pray that my unbelieving community will come to know Jesus through the work of this children’s ministry.
  • Pray for the orphanage, that it will continue to faithfully bring up children in God’s Word and restore what has been broken.
  • The median age in Nigeria is 17. Young people often feel marginalized. Pray for efforts by the government and Church to bring hope. Pray for thorough discipleship and sound view on economics coupled with practical help to uplift and create a hopeful future.
  • In the northeast and parts of the Middle Belt Christians face brutal attacks resulting in injury and destruction of property. Survivors suffer grief and trauma. The need for care outweighs resources of churches. Pray for more workers.
  • Christians form about 46% and come from diverse denominational backgrounds. The church is active in local and international outreach. Thank God for the Church’s presence, even in regions most hostile to the gospel. Pray that God will continue to build His Church and that she will grow despite severe persecution. Pray that Christians will remain bold and obedient in sharing the Gospel. Pray for continued grace, protection, and faithfulness to pastors. Pray that they may have all they need as they work, often amid great opposition.
